‘Mean Girls High School Version’ Is so Fetch

On Wednesdays we wear pink and on April 16 - 19 you can see Mean Girls High School Version take center stage at Cornwall Central High School. The musical, based on the iconic 2004 film, was nominated for an astonishing 12 Tony Awards! The CCHS Drama Club and Music Department agree….It’s going to be SO fetch!

Nothing can prepare new student Cady Heron, played by Alyssa Aleman, for her fierce new high school in the United States, where she must face The Plastics. The frenemies trio rules the school, led by their queen bee, Regina George, played by Fiala Query & Olivia Cushna, Gretchen Wieners, played by Maeve Fogarty and Karen Smith, played by Emma Halvorsen.  Guiding Cady through the high school drama are her new friends and comedic duo Damian, played by Bennett Tolman & James Lahtinen, and Janis, played by Evyn Lovell & Sasha Cuthbert.

New Capital Improvement Project 2026

A blueprint of a school building sits next to construction equipment. In May 2022, District voters approved multiple crucial propositions establishing the District’s trajectory toward continuous improvement of our school buildings and facilities.

Included were two propositions for capital projects totaling just over $23 million.  This work was divided into three phases and included improvements to all school buildings. With the exception of the window replacement project at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School, which will be finished in the Summer of 2026, all work associated with these projects has been completed.

Although this capital project was the biggest investment our community has made in our facilities in a generation, there is more work to be done.  There were many projects identified during the planning process in 2022 that didn’t quite make the cut – in the ensuing four years these issues have become more immediate needs.  The District’s administration and the school board meet regularly, constantly planning and looking for ways to tackle these additional improvements.
